| CTJ Safety Associates, LLC was formed in 2001 by David Coble, Bill Taylor, and Jim Jones. They bring to their clients over 25 years of experience, a unique blend of talents, and a vast knowledge of the safety industry. Their experience includes work with OSHA, general industry, local government, as well as many years in consulting and training.

David Coble, CSP, President, CTJ Safety Associates David Coble has 32 years of safety consulting and management experience. This experience includes 12 years with the North Carolina Department of Labor - OSHA where he served as Chief of the Bureau of Consultative Services and Manager of the Inspection Exemption Program, the precursor to the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). He was also an OSHA Compliance Officer responsible for conducting compliance inspections, investigating fatalities, catastrophes and employee complaints. For 20 years with ELB & Associates and its successor companies, David assisted a variety of clients in manufacturing, services, construction, and the public sector by conducting simulated OSHA inspections, safety and OSHA compliance training, and developing policies and safety management systems. He has visited over 2,500 different plants and facilities throughout North America and overseas. In addition, he has several years of experience in textile manufacturing. David holds memberships and leadership roles in numerous national standards setting committees and is a nationally recognized expert in OSHA recordkeeping. Bill Taylor, CSP, Vice President, CTJ Safety Associates Bill Taylor has nearly 30 years of safety experience. He is a former director of safety and health programs in both industry and municipal government, with diverse safety and health managerial experience, including a concentration in ergonomics. He is the author of Effective Environmental, Health and Safety Management Using the Team Approach (2005, John Wiley & Sons) and has also published award-winning articles on ergonomics and training. For over 18 years with ELB & Associates and its successor companies, Bill assisted a variety of clients in manufacturing, services, construction, and the public sector by conducting simulated OSHA inspections, safety and OSHA compliance training, and developing policies and safety management systems. He has visited a large variety of plants and facilities throughout North America and overseas. He is past-president of the North Carolina Chapter of ASSE, the North Carolina Association of Local Government Employee Safety Officials and the regional safety council. Jim Jones,ARM, Vice President, CTJ Safety Associates Jim Jones has nearly 30 years of safety experience. He was Corporate Safety and Risk Manager for a 250+ store retail chain for twelve years, where he developed and directed corporate safety and health programs, administered workers' compensation and general liability insurance, assured compliance with all federal, state and local safety, fire and environmental regulations (OSHA, NFPA, EPA, SARA, and RCRA), and developed the departmental budget. He also supervised a staff of Field Safety Specialists. His safety experience also includes four years as an OSHA Compliance Officer with North Carolina OSHA, and 13 years with ELB & Associates and its successor companies. As a consultant for with ELB & Associates and its successors, Jim assisted a variety of clients in manufacturing, services, construction, and the public sector by conducting simulated OSHA inspections, safety and OSHA compliance training, and developing policies and safety management systems.
